Education for National EMS
UPEC provides oversight and advisory to the National EMS. Courses and training are conducted to enhance the skills and knowledge of our paramedics.
ECG Course for Paramedic
Basic understanding and interpretation of ECG commonly encountered by
paramedics responding to 995 calls.
OBSTET
Management of a range of obstetrics emergency
situations likely to be encountered by paramedics providing hands-on practical
skills, teamwork and decision making in simulated obstetrics emergency
situations with high fidelity manikins.
Pre-hospital Cardiac Life Support (PHCLS)
This course
targets the Level 3 paramedics to upscale their cardiac resuscitation skills
responding to 995 calls
High Performance CPR (HP CPR)
HPCPR is a high-quality CPR delivered to Out of hospital cardiac arrest
cases which is lately internationally recognized. It was introduced to
Singapore EMS in 2017. (See ST news report).
This HPCPR initiative involves Four key interventions, and they will be implemented nationwide by phases:

Manual Defibrillation by advanced paramedic

Administration of IV Amiodarone during resuscitation

Use of the Impedance Threshold Device (ITD).
