4 week International PEC Fellowship
Emergency Medicine and Pre-hospital Emergency Care: 4-week Clinical Attachment (Observer) Programme
With the support from the Emergency Medicine Departments and other PEC partners in Singapore, UPEC has been organizing this Clinical Attachment (Observer) Programme on a yearly basis since 2016 aiming to cultivate knowledge of a proper and efficient PEC system especially in developing countries.
This programme for foreign Emergency Physicians offers an insight to
1. the clinical practice/procedure, patient care management, ethical and
cultural context of Singapore’s emergency medical care system; and
2. the basic framework of the public pre-hospital emergency care system
in Singapore.
Eligibility criteria:

Conferment of basic medical degree (e.g. MBBS or equivalent)

Evidence of housemanship / internship postings (usually 12 months following basic medical degree) with a certificate of satisfactory completion

Registration with medical council, minister or relevant licensing authority for practicing medicine
-
Confirmation of employment before and after attachment in SGH
-
Board certified by your respective institutions in Emergency Medicine; or have the equivalent recognition by the relevant national medical bodies; or have at least 3 years or relevant clinical working experience as a medical officer/resident.

Preferably have valid certificates in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
